Conventions

As a part of the convention this year there will be an opportunity to break out into groups; students, officials, captioning/CART, and freelance to steno swap and share questions or concerns.  Send your steno outlines and questions or concerns to bkemgreiner@hotmail.com.  Be sure to denote in the subject line your interest group or steno swap.  Submissions will remain anonymous.  Steno swap will be shared with everyone.

Can you use your realtime cables to jump rope?   Myles Megee has generously offered his services to shorten your cables for a nominal fee.  This would be for the gray cables only, not for the actual serial connectors/adapters.

Common requests are:

  • Make two shorter cables out of a 12-foot cable (standard length from Stenograph) - $5
  • Make an additional cable that is very short (3-4 feet)  $6 (extra 3- to 4-foot cable)
  • Replace the ends of cables because the tabs are broken - $2 per connector
